Every service on this page follows the same process. A technician arrives inside a two-hour window, confirms the symptom with you, and then tests the failure path instead of swapping parts on a hunch. On refrigeration that means checking sealed-system pressures, condenser airflow, defrost heaters and thermistors before anyone talks about a compressor. On laundry it means metering elements, thermal fuses, drain pumps, lid switches and control boards. On cooking appliances it means igniters, safety valves, bake and broil elements and temperature sensors.
You get a firm quote before work starts, the diagnostic fee applies toward the repair when you approve it, and both parts and labor carry a warranty. When a repair does not make financial sense — an aging machine needing a control board worth more than a replacement — we say so plainly and you owe nothing beyond the diagnostic.

Repair or Replace?
A useful rule of thumb: if the repair costs less than half the price of a comparable new appliance and the machine is inside its typical service life, repairing is almost always the better value. Refrigerators typically run 10–15 years, washers and dryers 10–13, dishwashers 9–12, and ranges 13–15. Sealed-system and control-board failures on machines past those marks are the usual cases where replacement wins. Wear items — igniters, elements, pumps, valves, belts, thermostats, door seals — are almost always worth fixing.
Simple Things Worth Trying First
- Refrigerator not cooling: pull the unit out and vacuum the condenser coils, confirm the condenser fan spins, and make sure vents inside the cabinet are not blocked by food.
- Dryer taking two cycles: clean the lint screen and have the vent duct cleared to the exterior hood — restricted venting causes more dryer service calls than any single part.
- Dishwasher leaving grit: clear the filter basket at the base of the tub and check the spray-arm holes for debris.
- Washer not draining: check the drain pump filter behind the lower access panel for coins, hairpins and buttons.
- Anything dead with no lights: test the outlet and the breaker before booking a visit.
